Provides mass transit service that allows visitors to park in communities in Merced, Mariposa, and Mono counties. YARTS operates year round on Highway 140 through Mariposa County with multiple runs each day. There is also daily service from Mammoth Lakes and Mono County during the summer (typically June through September), when Tioga Pass Road is open. The YARTS schedule makes connections with all intercity transportation providers in Merced: Amtrak, Greyhound, and Great Lakes Airlines at the Merced Airport. In Mono County, YARTS allows connections with "The Crest" bus that runs between Reno, NV and Lancaster, CA on Highway 395. In Yosemite, YARTS makes contact with all shuttle services including the free Valley Shuttle and the free Tuolumne Meadows Shuttle (summer only).

The Eastern Sierra Transit Authority (ESTA) was established in November of 2006 as a Joint Powers Authority between the Counties of Inyo and Mono, the City of Bishop and the Town of Mammoth Lakes. ESTA is a new public transit agency created to meet the growing need for public transportation in and for the four member jurisdictions and throughout the entire Eastern Sierra region.
