AC Transit (Local Service)

The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit).
Serves more than 100 local lines within the East Bay and more than 35 TransBay lines to San Francisco and the Peninsula. AC Transit connects with 21 BART stations. It is the third largest all-bus system in California.

AirBART

Air-BART is a direct shuttle between the Oakland Airport and the Oakland Coliseum/Airport BART station. Air-BART operates approximately every ten minutes and travel time is approximately 15-30 minutes. Ticket machines are located in Terminals 1 and 2 in the airport and at the Coliseum BART station.

Alameda Harbor Bay Ferry

Ferry service from the Harbor Bay Isle Ferry Landing located at the end of Harbor Bay Parkway on Bay Farm Island (City of Alameda) to the San Francisco Ferry Building. Travel time is approximately 25 minutes.

Alameda/Oakland Ferry

Amtrak California San Joaquin and Connecting Thruways

Amtrak California's San JoaquinŽ route provides daily round trips between Sacramento/Stockton/Oakland and Bakersfield with thruway connections to Los Angeles and the Pacific SurflinerŽ which travels between San Luis Obispo and San Diego.  The San Joaquin serves Oakland, Emeryville (with thruway connections to San Francisco), Richmond, Martinez, Antioch/Pittsburg, Davis, Sacramento, Elk Grove, Lodi, Stockton, Modesto, Turlock/Denair, Merced, Madera, Fresno, Hanford, Corcoran, Wasco, and Bakersfield.  Connecting Amtrak Thruway buses provide additional service from Bakersfield to Los Angeles and more than 175 other destinations in California and Nevada.  Amtrak California is a Caltrans and Amtrak partnership.

Brentwood Dimes-A-Ride

Dimes-A-Ride service is provided in Brentwood by Tri Delta Transit. The service, which operates Monday through Saturday, uses a "flag stop" method for picking up passengers. Simply flag down the bus along the route shown and the driver will stop. For your safety, Tri Delta Transit recommends flagging the bus at street intersections.

The County Connection

(Central Contra Costa Transit Authority, or CCCTA) Provides transit service within central Contra Costa County with connections to Pleasanton and Antioch. The County Connection serves Clayton, Concord, Danville, Lafayette, Martinez, Moraga, Orinda, Pleasant Hill, San Ramon, Walnut Creek, and unincorporated areas of central county. Formed in 1980, the County Connection has grown from a fleet of 12 small buses to 131 ramp/wheelchair lift-equipped buses today.

Dumbarton Express

Weekday express bus service across the Dumbarton Bridge, connecting Union City (BART), Fremont, Newark, Menlo Park and Palo Alto. Dumbarton Express service is provided through a consortium of AC Transit, BART, Union City Transit and Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority.

Emery Go-Round

A Free shuttle connecting Emeryville's employers and shopping centers with the MacArthur BART station. Service is provided on weekdays from 5:50 am until 9:50 pm. On Saturdays, the Shopper Express runs from 9:15 am until 9:00 pm and the City Loop runs from 10:00 am until 5:30 pm. On Sundays the Shopper Express runs from 10:15 am until 7:30 pm. The Emery Go-Round is funded by commercial property owners in the citywide Emeryville Property Improvement District and is a service of the Emeryville Transportation Management Association.

San Leandro Links (shuttle)

Recognizing the need for efficient and environmentally friendly public transportation, the City of San Leandro created the San Leandro Links shuttle program, a free service that links San Leandro BART with West San Leandro employment centers.

Union City Transit

Union City Transit is Union City's own bus system operating within the city limits. Routes are coordinated with BART trains, AC Transit, and the Dumbarton Express to areas outside of the City. Main transfer points are at the Union City BART station and Alvarado & Dyer.

WestCAT

WestCAT is a service of the Western Contra Costa Transit Authority providing local, regional and express public transportation service. WestCAT offers ten local fixed routes, operates express bus service in the I-80 corridor between the Hercules Transit Center and the El Cerrito del Norte BART Station, offers curb-to-curb Dial-A-Ride paratransit throughout the WestCAT service area, regional Martinez Link (30Z) service between EL Cerrito del Norte BART and Martinez (the County Seat), and Special Transportation for seniors/disabled passengers M-F traveling into Richmond and San Pablo areas. Transit connections with AC Transit, BART, County Connection, Golden Gate Transit, and Vallejo Transit.

WHEELS

WHEELS operates sixteen local routes serving Dublin, Pleasanton and Livermore. Express connections between Livermore and Dublin/Pleasanton BART are available. Express Bus service to Silicon Valley and between Walnut Creek and the Tri-Valley area is also available during commute hours.
